Michael W. Perri brings more than two decades of successful communications planning, media relations, campaign strategy, organizational development, and social marketing to his work with Lincoln Crow clients.
  • Reporter and editor covering local, state and national issues for papers in Maryland, Georgia, Texas and the District of Columbia (Atlanta Journal and Constitution, The Journal Newspapers, Annapolis Evening Capital, The Sentinel Newspapers), as well as wide ranging freelance work with magazines and newspapers (Time, New York Times, Art News, Utne Reader, In These Times).
  • Director of Strategic Campaigns with the Service Employees International Union, the nationís fastest growing union. Helped strengthen the union in California, while coordinating the development of more than 40 local unions in the 11 state Western Region.
  • Active in corporate campaigns for two decades as strategic coordinator, field director, and media coordinator. Founding member of The Kamber Group corporate campaigns team. Campaigns involving: Beverly Enterprises, Catholic Healthcare West, Columbia/HCA, ConAgra, Consolidated Foods, Continental Airlines, Food Lion, Mitsubishi, Obayashi Construction, Phelps Dodge, Sutter Health, Toyota, TWA, and Vencor.
  • Strategy and management on more than 30 union campaigns. Grass roots mobilization of thousands in efforts for nursing home reform, worker health and safety, patientís rights, educational reform, union recognition and contracts, and worker rights.
  • Launched SEIU Capital Strategies Program - advocating effective investment of union pension assets. Continues to take an active role in socially responsible financial issues as a board member of the California Coalition for Responsible Investment and the Council for Responsible Public Investment.
  • Extensive work with public agencies, non-profit organizations, and private sector clients including: Presidio Trust, Metropolitan Transportation Commission, National Association of Counties, D.C.C.C., Building and Construction Trades Department of the AFL-CIO, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
  • Directed the non-profit magazine Art Papers in Atlanta and served on the Atlanta Mayorís Advisory Committee for the Arts and the Midtown Arts District Chamber of Commerce Board.
  • Northern California Director for 1998 Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign that elected Gray Davis, Barbara Boxer and the Democratic slate. Las Vegas Labor Coordinator 1992 Clinton-Gore campaign. Directed John Russo for Oakland City Attorney 2000 campaign for Lew Edwards Group. Senior roles in 11 political and legislative campaigns. Extensive issue work with elected officials in Kentucky, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Washington, Nevada, Indiana, Maryland, and Illinois.
